The repeatedly failed yet self declared messiah of Nepali democracy, the Nepali Congress and the so-called communist party United Marxist Leninists have once again issued a joint statement and threatened the erratic Unified Maoists Party either to come with their terms or face the music.
The NC and UML have been regularly issuing similar statements but with no results.
The Maoists do not value those statements.
The joint statement has been signed by Chairman Jhalnath of UML and Vice President Ram Chandra of Nepali Congress.
The paper tigers.
“We have served seven days ultimatum to complete major peace process related tasks as pointed out in the seven point agreement or they could go to any extent in derailing the present government, such as public disobedience, street protests, no confidence motion and formally ending talks with the Maoists Party”, reports refer to NC’s Ram Saran as saying.
This time it seems the old ones have become really serious. But what about the NOIDA aliens? Isn’t it a challenge to them who cared the Maoists for over eight years and sent the rebels to Kathmandu for a “purpose”?
“The situation has come because the Maoists have refused to act as per the seven point agreement”, says the US embassy reliable contact (according to leaked US embassy cable: Wikileaks) –the senior UML leader Mr. Bhim Rawal.
The two party leaders had met at the UML party headquarter in Balkhu, Kathmandu, February 6, 2012.
“We will be forced to take serious steps ahead if desire of Nepal and Nepali people for peace and constitution is not met with,” reads the statement.
