Nepal Maoists internal feud, lust for power may derail PP: Rizal

The Nepali Congress central committee Dr. Minendra Rijal has no confusion whatsoever that the much awaited first republican constitution will be drafted before May 27, 2012 (Jestha 14, 2069).

Dr. Rijal expressed his confidence while addressing a program in Ithari of Sunsari District, January 30, 2012.

Perhaps he understand that “where” it was being drafted for Nepal?

Naughty Rizal!

According to Rijal, the two primary reasons that will eventually derail the constitution drafting processes are the internal rivalry in the Unified Maoists party and the excessive lust for power in the Maoists camp.

Dr. Rijal however, did not prefer to talk on the internal dispute in his own party and also did not accept that the NC’s excessive power lust had ultimately pushed the nation to the brink.

Analysts would have told his to ask this question had Koirala been still alive. NC basically is a party which wants to remain in power until the end of Nepal.

“Our politics is undergoing a torrid times,” claimed Rijal and added, “We are in the midst of the Supreme Court’s verdict which has limited the constituent assembly term and the slow progress in the constitution drafting process. The country is heading towards dark days.”

Is he talking of further increase in the load shedding hours as if the existing 14 hours were not enough?

Rijal also declined to accept that the Nepali Congress too to a greater extent was responsible for the current sorry state of the country. Party of Nehruvian Sadhus!

He said, “The Unified Maoists Party should entirely shoulder the responsibility for the failure. The Maoists have been misusing the flexibility exhibited by the Nepali Congress and United Marxist Leninists Party.”
