According to Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal aka Prachanda of Unified Maoists Party has become an untrustworthy political personality. President Koirala expressed his doubts over Dahal’s political credibility while addressing a program in the district of Dang, January 28, 2012.
“Prachanda says something and does exactly the opposite,” an overly puzzled Sushil expressed and added, “Instead of his repeated assurances, the seized lands are yet to be returned, the paramilitary structure of YCL is yet to be dissolved. He has not implemented any of his given assurances.”
“Beginning 12-Points agreements (NOIDA) to 7-Points Agreement (Kantipur), none of the agreements have been implemented both in letter and spirit. The Maoists are losing their credibility due to their double standards,” Sushil continued to complain. Nothing more left to him other than complaining.
“Let me tell Prachanda ji frankly that the 7-Point is the last agreement that we had with the Maoists. We are not going to sign any other agreements”, he said.
Urging Maoists to stop threatening for another round of revolt said Koirala, “It will be difficult to enter jungles once again. You have adopted luxurious lifestyles in the cities. You have built posh bungalows. You have already amassed huge sum of money. How can you think of entering jungles once again? It is impossible”-summed up Koirala.
Perhaps Koirala was referring to Lazimpat Kranti of Chairman Dahal.
